Character and Fitness Questions

Your application for admissions includes answers to questions concerning your character and fitness. The admissions committee will review your answers as part of the admissions process.

In addition, you will be required to complete an application to a state bar prior to becoming a lawyer. This application is usually completed in your final year of law school.

Applications for membership in a state bar include questions regarding your character and fitness to become a lawyer. These questions concern matters which reach beyond those found on the application for admission to the School of Law.

You are encouraged to investigate the requirements for admission to the state bar. Links to each state board of bar examiners can be found on the National Conference of Bar Examiners website.
