University of Baltimore Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP)
In an ongoing effort to support students interested in pursuing public interest careers, the LRAP program provides loan repayment assistance to recent graduates with a demonstrated commitment to public interest. Students in their final year of law school and graduates employed by public interest organizations are eligible to apply. Depending upon the availability of funds, awards range between $3000-$4000.
Other LRAP programs:
Maryland residents who provide public service in Maryland State or local government or nonprofit agencies in Maryland to low income or under-served residents are eligible to apply.
Lawyers who work in Washington, D.C. in the area of poverty law are eligible to apply.
The John R. Justice Student Loan Repayment Program (JRJ) provides loan repayment assistance for state and federal public defenders and state prosecutors who agree to remain employed as public defenders and prosecutors for at least three years.
